The Queensland Qualifier for the Australasian Piping Final was held last Monday at the Balmoral Bowls Club in Brisbane, in conjunction with the monthly meeting of the Queensland Highland Pipers' Society. The standard of piping was high and the event was enjoyed by a large crowd of spectators. The results were:

1st: Adam Britten
2nd: Jason Palfrey
3rd: Michael Redmond
Judges for the evening were P/M Matthew Rigby and Mr Tom McGirr.

These pipers will now go on to represent Queensland in next year's Australasian Piping Final, which will also be held in Brisbane.
